Chicago Gallery News
So in surfing the net I came across this gem: Chicago Gallery News
Chicago Gallery News is a nicely print magazine, however, many of the interesting articles and resources are on their site.
A Little Bit About Chicago Gallery News
Founded in 1983, Chicago Gallery News is the central source for information about the city’s art galleries and services. Published three times each year in January, April and September, both the magazine and website feature up-to-date information about approximately 150 galleries including openings, current exhibits and art specialties. There also are listings for scores of art-related businesses and nearly 150 nonprofit arts organizations.
To make visits easier, the gallery sections are arranged by geographic districts, and there is an alphabetical index as well. There also are sections featuring opening night schedules; art specialties; lists of artists currently exhibiting at Chicago galleries in solo or small group shows; plus helpful art services.
